Citrix 222 Exam Information


This document will help you prepare for the Citrix 222 exam.

This exam is 75 minutes long with a total of 61 questions. Native english speakers have 75 minutes to complete the exam, While Non-native english speakers will have 115 minutes to complete the exam.

Recommended Previous Experience

Minimum of six months experience supporting enterprise administration, system design, and implementation Installed, configured and administered a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server using the management console for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server Maintained multiple server farms in separate domains for at least three months

- MetaFrame XP Presentation Server administration
- Multi-farm administration experience 
- Microsoft Management Console experience
- Networking experience
- Windows Active Directory experience
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server administration

Section Breakdown

Introduction to MetaFrame XP Presentation Server

Given background knowledge on MetaFrame XP Presentation Server:

-Recognize the MetaFrame XP Presentation Server platforms.
-Recognize the different network models.
-Identify the major features of MetaFrame XP Presentation Server.

Citrix Technologies

Given background knowledge on MetaFrame XP Presentation Server architecture:

-Define MultiWin.
-Explain the Independent Management Architecture (IMA) technology.
-Understand the ICA protocol and virtual channels.

MetaFrame XP Presentation Server Setup

Given a setup scenario for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server:

-Recognize MetaFrame XP Presentation Server software and hardware requirements.
-Recognize factors that affect server sizing.
-Migrate MetaFrame 1.8 to MetaFrame XP Presentation Server.
-Install the management console for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server.
-Install Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager on a web server.

Integrating Feature Release 3

Given background knowledge of a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server:

-Install Feature Release 3.

Web Connectivity

Given a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server which has published applications that users will access:

-Recognize the network components required for MetaFrame Secure Access Manager.
-Create an ICA file and identify its role.
-Name the Citrix ICA client for the web.

MetaFrame XP Presentation Server Administration

Given background knowledge and experience with MetaFrame XP Presentation Server:
