Resolution : Below is a list of things to check to resolve the “Error 10001 When Installing Citrix Presentation Server” issue.

Try running the followwing at the command prompt. Msiexec /i “ ” CTX_MF_AUTH_USERS_GROUP=”transalation of NT AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users” /l*v “ ” this will hardcode which language the system needs in order to install xenapp.

Citrix xenapp requires .net version 2.0. Make sure this is installed before you try to install xenapp. If it is installed try uninstalling it and reinstalling version 2.0. If this still doesnt work use windows update to upgrade to the latest version of .net.

Cause 2 For “Error 10001 When Installing Citrix Presentation Server”

The XenApp 5.0 installation needs to create the following sub-key:

HKLM\ SW\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\RemoteCapture\

The user account performing the installation does not have enough permission to the following registry key:

HKLM\ SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio
